Cost of Acupuncture Treatments
The cost of the combined initial diagnostic session and first acupuncture treatment is $175. The cost of all follow-up acupuncture treatments is $110. Insurance We do accept insurance. Marni Adhikari, L.Ac is an in-network provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, and Aetna. Other insurance policies that cover acupuncture are also accepted, as long as there is no in-network practitioner requirement. Please note that not all Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, or Aetna plans cover acupuncture. We recommend calling the customer service number on the back of your card to learn about the details of your coverage before your first appointment. Good questions to ask include whether there is a deductible to be met before coverage begins, what your copay is, and whether there is a limit to the number of treatments you receive in a year. Local plans that cover acupuncture include (but are not limited to) Blue Cross Blue Shield plans for employees of UVM Medical Center, the University of Vermont, the State of Vermont, and the Federal government, as well as Cigna plans through the City of Burlington. Payment For payment, we accept cash, checks, all major credit cards, HSA cards, and Apple Pay. Payment is due at the time of treatment. Missed Appointments and Late Cancellations There is a $75 charge for missed appointments or cancellations with less than 24 hours notice. Exceptions may be made for emergency cancellations on a case by case basis. |
